Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of Maywood Residents Directory. By using the pages, you accept these conditions. If you do not accept them, please stop using the reference and its linked tools.

1. The Reference and Its Scope

Maywood Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical directory collections related to Maywood, California. It links to the Los Angeles County Assessor, Recorder, courts, voter office, vital-record custodians, Maywood departments, libraries, and state resources. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with any office, court, or custodian.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use the pages and any linked result only for lawful purposes. You may not use them to:

  • Stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm another person
  • Find someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit fraud, impersonation, or identity theft
  • Make a credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or other FCRA-regulated decision
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the pages at scale
  • Disrupt the operation, security, or availability of the service

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

The service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Material on these pages, and information returned by a linked search provider, is not a consumer report. It may not be used to evaluate eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, tenant screening, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.

4. External Services and Links

Official portals, libraries, courts, data providers, and sponsored search tools set their own terms, prices, privacy practices, and availability. Maywood Residents Directory does not control their content or results and is not responsible for an outside service's failure, charge, data handling, or change in access.

5. Information Without Warranty

The reference is provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a page, link, fee, office detail, coverage year, search result, or record description is accurate, complete, timely, or uninterrupted. Confirm material facts with the custodian before relying on them.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of these pages or a linked resource. That includes an action or decision based on information found through a directory, portal, record index, or search tool.

7. Your Responsibility

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from your unlawful use of the service or your violation of these terms.

8. Copyright and Reuse

The original writing, design, logo, and layout belong to the operators or their licensors and are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short attributed excerpt is welcome. Copying entire pages, extracting the material systematically, or republishing the layout is not permitted without permission.

9. Changes to These Terms

The operators may revise these terms by posting a new version. Use after a revision means that you accept the revised terms to the extent the law recognizes that acceptance.

10. Restricting Access

Access may be blocked or limited, with or without notice, when a user violates these terms, abuses a linked tool, threatens the service, or creates a security or legal risk.

11. California Governing Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 and following, governs access to records held by California state, county, and city custodians; it does not make this private reference a records office. California's Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code sections 1798.100 and following, may govern covered personal-data rights. Those statutes do not change the FCRA restrictions or the lawful-use rules above.

12. Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to operate to the fullest lawful extent.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. The operators cannot provide legal advice or act as a custodian for a Maywood record.
